Planning ahead

Choose the maintenance arrangement—not the sales label.

A monthly price can be convenient, but it only makes sense when the included work, total commitment and limits are clear.

The useful starting point

A one-off appointment pays for the specified visit. A Gas Champion maintenance plan spreads payments for listed ongoing maintenance. The plans are not insurance or unlimited breakdown cover.

Start with what is included.

Compare the actual annual work, not just the plan names. Bronze includes the listed boiler safety and combustion checks. Silver adds the specified water-quality and radiator maintenance. Gold adds its stated conditional and system benefits. Use the full comparison to see the differences.

Compare the same type of work.

A full boiler service and an annual safety check are not interchangeable descriptions. When comparing another provider, ask about the particular manufacturer’s service requirements and any extras. A lower payment is not automatically a like-for-like saving.

Look beyond the monthly figure.

The current design displays the monthly payment and its twelve-month total side by side or through the cost toggle. The toggle changes the view, not the payment method. Read the minimum term, renewal and early-cancellation conditions at signup.

Deal with an existing fault separately.

If the boiler already fails, leaks or repeatedly locks out, arrange investigation. Buying maintenance is not a way to obtain unrestricted repair cover for that fault. Any work outside the selected plan is separately agreed.

A one-off visit remains a normal option.

You do not need to join a plan to become a customer or book a service. Choose ongoing maintenance when the package and commitment suit you—not because the one-off route has been made difficult to find.
